Yes, for hygiene purposes you will need to purchase a pumping kit which includes all the parts that come into contact with your breastmilk: breast shields, duckbill valves, backflow protectors and breast milk storage bottles.
If you already have Spectra compatible parts you do not need to purchase an additional kit. However, I do recommend ensuring your breast shield size is correct and purchasing the right size if required.
Yes. This means it has a closed motor system and is safe for use by multiple users. However, new parts should be used and can be purchased from me.
Hospital grade breast pumps are hygienic for use by multiple people as they have a closed motor system. With a closed system, the motor itself is protected from milk. Whereas with an open system, there is a risk of milk flowing into the motor, harbouring mould and posing a risk to the breast milk.
