Hello! I'm Fotini, the founder of Nurturing Flow. As a Mum, I understand the struggles and emotional rollercoaster of breastfeeding and pumping. I started Nurturing Flow to make it easier for other Mums to feed their bub and to take one less stress off your plate.
When I was two weeks postpartum and experiencing nipple pain worse than anything I could have imagined, I needed a breastpump ASAP to give me some relief. It was so hard to find a Spectra pump (which had come highly recommended) so I bit the bullet and took the risk of buying one, without knowing if I would even use it enough to warrant the price tag.
I thought it was pretty crazy that noone offered breast pumps for hire for a short time frame – I only needed it for a few days! I also was really confused about how to use it and I had no idea flange sizes were a thing. I figured it all out on my own and it was hard.
That’s when Nurturing Flow was born.
Even though I’m such a small part in my customers’ breastfeeding journeys, it gives me so much joy knowing I have helped in some way. Pumping isn’t for everyone, but for some it’s a game changer. For me – it saved me when I thought I couldn’t push through.
I offer the Spectra S1 for hire as it is a portable, hospital grade, pump that is powerful enough for exclusive use – features which I believe are imperative when choosing a breast pump.
